This story introduces a new character to my saga. Shay'la is someone I have been wanting to add since the middle of Solaris, but there was no place for her in that storyline. I wanted to add a romantic interest for Darius for a later date, and the timing was just right.

At this point, I will not give away too much of who she is and what her angle is. Thats for the story to tell. Needless to say, I like playing with her character. Sassy and anoying, yet clearly not someone you piss off. And if you did, you would not know it

This story also shows a little more of Darius' character as a moody and brooding type who most people have learned to avoid conversation with, because it's a waste of time when you only get a grunt in reply. Also, the apperance of Corin Raven in my story is a refference to a series of stories by AsheRaven, another player in EVE. We sat down a few times and went for a joint history angle. Corin Raven is an old warhorse come back from retirement after the rebellion. At the time of me joining Freelance Unincorporated, Corin was a member. But as I wrote this he left for another corp in the alliance and I had to rewrite it a little before release.

Finally, my favourite part of this story is the security agents chasing some guy through the bowels of the station. I admit it to anyone who knows... I am an Appleseed fan. And this part was pretty much taken from Appleseed book 4. I will try not to make a habit of this, but it was a very cool part from that book. So hard to resist...
