Authors Notes - The Fire Within

In contrast to Solaris, Penumbra involves Darius' half-brother. It was not covered too much early on, but the relation is through their mother. When Darius' father died, a few years later his mother remarried and had Kordan.

This story was written to take the first steps towards pushing the usually diplomatic and placid Darius to the edge and beyond and lay the grounding for him to join the freedom fight. With that, I shall say no more... why spoil it, right?
