Twice in two days now I have been stuck in stations that have suffered a catastrophic failure of the docking and undocking controls.

The first was in Elgoi where I was delivering some barrels of acid for my agent. Don't ask me what they were for, I never do when there is lot's of money in it for me. I am waiting in my ship for nearly 2 hours before I can go. After about 20 minutes of that I got sick of waiting for them to fix what I thought was a normal glitch in the docking controls and got out of the pod to stretch my legs on the station hangar. I even broke out a deck of cards and played some poker with a guy I knew from my old tech school who was stuck there too. I lost, before you ask.

Anyway, it turns out that the docking control officer was dipping into the spiced wine that was confiscated from a drunk pilot by his friend who works in customs and duty on the station. Naturally he got a little tipsy and before he passed out at the controls, he managed to knock over his bottle and it shorted the door release circuits for the whole station. It took the station admin some time to get wind that there was a problem and didn't know until some angry traders knocked on the office door. They made their way to the control room and there they found the guy in a pool of wine on the floor, snoring like a baby pig, and the docking controls shorting out.

Time is money and I lost a lot of it. My battleship fund is hurting now because of this clumsiness and I am about 64 million isk short of getting a 65 million isk Typhoon. Or maybe I will get a one time blueprint and make it on my own? Might be cheaper if I do a lot of mining? But I digress.

Today, I decided to sleep a little later after I got back to my home base and got up with a vengeance and a plan to stick into some serious mining for the quick money. Of all the sods luck, I request to undock and I am told that the docking doors have been broken for the last 10 minutes. If I hadn't have slept late, I could have made it out as I was going to another system where my Stabber is located and was going to mine there. And just 10 minutes made all the difference from a full day of mining and a full day of kicking stuff around the hangar floor in rage.

Maybe if I go to sleep for a week something good might happen when I wake up?
