Well, the last few days have been eventful, if not interesting, to say the least. Ok so there I am mining away. I had decided to finally make some use of the industrial ship skills I spent some time on a while ago and purchased the Hoarder. Then I hear the usual 'two sides to every story' routine. Some say that it can save time to leave the ore in space and come back with a larger ship. Others say there is not much in it. Well, I have always been adventurous so why not go right ahead and find out? If nothing else, the ship will be needed if I ever expand into trade or have a lot of stuff to move.

I also hear stories of the problems that plague the poor miners that use this method is that someone else in an industrial ship will try to beat you to it. But you never think it will happen to you and I didn't as my favourite roid belt, filled with Omber, never gets any visitors. Just the way I like it.

Which brings be back to the mining. After a couple of days with no problems, I see that this method really cuts the time off with only having to make one or two trips between the station and the belt with vast amounts of ore. In the stabber, with 4 mining lasers I would fill the small cargo bay in minutes and have to stop each time to go back. Anyway, you all know the drill. I was making money hand over fist for once and mining seemed worth it.

Then, one day, I get a little distracted talking to a friend on the com who I haven't seen since I moved out of the Tech School in Ryddinjorn. The next this I hear is the cargo container slamming into my ship????? I check the scanner and see another ship that has rammed the container and grabbed a load of the ore from inside. I will not go on at length about how futile it is do defend my cargo in empire space but I though the threat of force would be more than enough. I launch my 2 Hornet drones and lock the offending ship up. The next thing I see is the grappling arm on the Iteron ship pluck my drones from space and place them in the cargo hold.!!!! Of all the cheek!!

I tried to salvage what I could but it was too late. Nor could I find the thief again.

However I took note of the name of the ship and found out who owns it. Her time will come soon enough.

I decided it was best to move to a more secluded system as I know now that these thieves operate on the new Super-Safe Super-Highway. How clever as you can't hit them without proof and the ever useless concord have no solution for this dilemma.

Now I have moved to parts unknown I have to make up for lost time. What a drag!
